So, is it possible to publich an swf file with a transparent background? I'll be loading the transparent swf into my main movie, and I'd like to see the root's background through my transparent one.

I found this link on Macromedia's site, but it seems like it only applies if you're publishing an html file.

Don't know about mad skills, but this may work…

Did you ever get this to work? If you're not using the swf in an .html file, you can use \"load movie\" and it will automatically be transparent.

Yea, got it figured out. I didn't realize that loadMovie() would do that.

If you are loading it into an html file, you add a parameter: "wmode - transparent"
