Form Tomorrow is a 501c3 organization committed to providing no cost assistance to small communities. Current initiatives include:
Supporting implementation of a county wide visioning process through direct work with small towns, in collaboration with the local Five County Association of Governments, and County Government.
Supporting adoption of better surface water management policies in small communities in an effort to maintain water quality in an important Colorado River tributary, and, to make storm water management easier for small towns.
Supporting rural energy efficiency by assisting towns in writing Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grants, and collaborating with State Officials
Supporting rural development of affordable housing through collaboration with state agencies and local non-profits.
Primary responsibilities for this hire focus on vision implementation, meaning direct work with small towns, and running community processes. Existing procedures include extensive use of works shops and use of innovative, locally created planning tools. Candidate must be familiar with ordinance and general plan writing: innovation begins with understanding. GIS skills are required.
Office space is shared with Stempel Form PC Architects, and collaborative assistance to the non-profit is provided by the firm. Form Tomorrow's funders include the George S and Delores Dore Eccles Foundation, the Nature Conservancy and the Packard Foundation, as well as private donors.
Form Tomorrow is not an activist organization, and will not be used as a platform for activism.
